The thing I found to be most irrating was the crew dialog. The rest of the main characters were average to medeoker.
Even so, the only good voice acting was from the characters that were also in the movie(Amilia, Jim Hawkins). Campign is a similar story, you have to concider that this game was written for little kids. The ships are all fixed on a flat plane and, unlike the movie cannot dive or climb. Treasure Planet Battle at Procyon was in my opinion a good idea chepened to an average one. So give it a try, or go for a more classical adventure in another Disney classic, Hercules, just as lovely but definitely more grounded a game. Naturally, while not oozing originality, Disney does put some emphasis on cleaning their games and on making them stand out, their quality control is mostly impeccable. Graphically, this is a 3D game that is as good looking and as attentively crafted as you can wish. But it's good to know that if you take the difficulty level up a notch you will get quite a bit of a challenge. The good part is that the game is actually very well polished, contains a lot of levels and of ships and there is also a tactical bit to the encounters, though, mostly this is not the most intellectually demanding game out there, as it is pretty easy to tackle, as your average arcader, mostly. So here it is, if you love the idea of going into naval skirmishes with sail ships, but in space, you can now do it! Now, don't get me wrong, I know this fantasy has been around in some other titles, but it's refreshing to see it come out of the rarely original laboratories of Disney. Because of this, Procyons who have managed to rise through the military and social ranks will wear ornamental eye masks in order to enhance their appearance among their peers.I love this game because it really knows how to put a spin on things. The size and intricacies of the patches under the eyes reflects social rank, and the noblest of Procyon families have the largest patches. Procyon fur ranges from various shades of brown and rust to jet-black and can include white-striping and greying streaks in older members. As a result, indoors and aboard ship, most Procyon clothing is used for ornamental and protective purposes rather than warmth. They have also kept the body fur that most other humanoid species have evolved away from as an adaptation to their homeworld, Laar. As a result, they serve as antagonists in the game.ĭespite being slightly smaller than humans, Procyons have a 20% higher muscle-to-bone ratio and a greater degree of movement which gives them a sinuous grace despite their smallish stature.
Procyons are generally hostile toward the Terran Empire, and the two powers have engaged in multiple wars throughout their history. They were featured in the video game Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon and referenced by Admiral Amelia in the film, Treasure Planet. The Procyons are a race of raccoon-like aliens from the icy planet of Laar.
